In the beginning, 1997 – it seemed to me that the established mainstream companies up and down Main Street and maybe even some farmers too would jump on the Internet.

I though the Internet would be the leveling agent for these traditional businesses against their mega company competitors.

It did not work out that way at first.

But today…

The folks who owned established companies had seen fads before and until they were convinced that the Internet was not just another one of them – they held off.
