Passing Down the Farm 2010 – Who’s In Charge?
If there is anything that differentiates this 21st.Century Farm Succession system from any other you’re likely to come across, it’s because I believe you can do this with very little outside advice or interference.
Naturally you’ll need the advice of expects and they are the ones who will convert your ideas and your desires for the future into the contracts required to make them enforceable during and after your lifetime.
It’s the process of coming to the right conclusions that you and your family must collaborate on.
You and your family are the only people who have the authority to make these decisions. You are also the people who will be held accountable – in very real ways for the decisions you make or allow to be made for you.
The role of the planning coordinator, have you covered this yet? What have you actually done?
This session is about getting help with your farm succession planning process.
By help you know I don’t mean advice.
In the audio and the information on the page dedicated to “who’s in charge” you’ll see how important it is to appoint someone, possibly someone in the family, to act as the person who’ll take charge of the planning process.
This is the person who will be responsible for making sure each step is taken and that the proper records are kept.
Remember: No one will be able to access this page until you have given them your username and password!
